The History of The Effective Office
THE EFFECTIVE OFFICE began operations in January 2000 when Certified Professional Coach Barbara Moyle decided it was time to share her experience and confidence with people thinking of starting a business, and those who having already started one, wanted to move forward to achieve greater success.
 Barb brings to her company over 30 years of business experience in human resources, training, project leadership, and administrative and financial management. She has worked in many industry sectors from manufacturing to distribution, sales, banking, importing, insurance, business services and not-for-profit. She personifies 3 core business skills: effective problem solving, the ability to read and understand people and their needs, and the maintainenance of great sense of humour.
Barbara Moyle's background as a corporate trainer and facilitator includes Xerox of Canada, Bank of Nova Scotia, and Manulife Financial. From 1991 to 1995, she was appointed Business Representative to the Yukon Workers Compensation Health and Safety Board where she was diligent in protecting the financial investment of employers, while promoting and encouraging safe workplaces. Her passion for safety in the workplace continues in her current business through the Workplace Safety Information & Training program.
Barbara shares her time and experience in volunteer activities. In 2004 and 2006 she served as a business mentor for Conestoga College Law and Securities students. She is a member of the Greater Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, Employers’ Advocacy Council, and Communications Director for Grand River Women in Business Networking. She was nominated for the Chamber of Commerce New Member of the Year award in 2003.

were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson,
or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You
never know who these people may be, but when you meet them,
you know at that very moment they will affect your life in some profound way. Barb has done exactly that.
It didn't take Barb
long to win everyone's hearts with her good sense of humor.
Barb faced a lot of challenges learning how everyone fit into each role and what problems and concerns they had. With her
experience it did't take her long to turn the department around. From being reactive we became proactive and
our morale returned.
